Canmore's Café Books
Hi Everyone! I'm back from my amazing family vacation, and I can't wait to share with you the cutest café we discovered in Canmore, Alberta.
Café Books is an independent store selling new and used books and gifts. It also houses a tea room in the back! They have regular author events with international and local writers. There is some outdoor seating in the front of the store, and you can order coffee, tea, and pastries right outside. Once you walk through the main shop, you find a cute little tea room with all of the used books. This hidden gem houses a variety of books. My cousin E and I got lost for a while going through the collection, and we both left with 2 great finds.
The tea room was so cozy and welcoming. I loved that it housed antique furniture and china. It was way to hot to have a cup of tea but we really enjoyed visiting this spot. What a great find in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and in the middle of the Canmore town centre!

Alberta
This was my first time visiting Alberta! Some of the trip highlights included taking a dip in the Banff Hot Springs, hiking around Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, exploring the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper and screaming yahoo at the Calgary Stampede!

Timbertrain Coffee Roasters
Vancouver has a lot of great coffee shops, so of course I had a lot of trouble picking just one to visit! My cousin, a Vancouver local, recommended Timbertrain in Gastown so I know I had to try it out.
The owners decided to name the café Timbertrain because of their fascination with trains and how trains transported people from place to place, but more importantly how trains brought people together. This café was created to bring people together and to build a community through peoples' passion for coffee.
They have a fast bar with drinks like cold brews on tap, and they also have a slow bar. Their slow bar encompasses their dedication to taste and flavour since they brew their freshly roasted coffee beans with a methodical, measured and mastered technique.
After a long day of touring the city, I stopped in with my parents for a cappuccino and an almond croissant. Both were delicious and it was just the boost I needed to fight the jet lag and continue exploring!

British Columbia
British Columbia is a beautiful province! Although it wasn't my first visit, it has been a few years since I was on the west coast so I really enjoyed spending time with my family and touring the city. Some of my favourite stops included a trip to Granville Island, drinking coffee in Gastown, crossing the Capilano Suspension Bridge and celebrating Canada's 150th birthday with the bears at Grouse Mountain!
