I had the best coffee and brunch at Round K by Sol in Chinatown! This Korean comfort food spot is such a hidden gem and has such an unassuming facade. When I first passed by, I thought I'd just drop in for a coffee at the counter since it looked like a bakery from the outside, but quickly realized it was a "speakeasy" with a gorgeous restaurant in the back! The space itself is very intimate, housing about 4-5 tables only with dimly lit "cocktail" vibes.
Their menu is pretty unique and includes classic coffee drinks like americanos and cappuccinos but they also serve up a unique signature menu with seasonally rotating drinks including their sweet corn latte, butter covered latte, egg cappuccino, and flat purple (which looks like an ube-lovers' dream come true!). I ordered a drip coffee but made a mental note to come back and try one of their delectable creations for dessert in the near future!
Since I was fairly early, I managed to get a table at the restaurant with no problems and ended up ordering the "I am Avocado" from their house specials. It was essentially their take on avocado toast with a pickled hard boiled egg and topped with hot chili oil. It was absolutely delicious!
Overall, I loved the vibes here and the service was spot on but I can imagine it getting very busy during peak times. This is definitely a spot I'd come back to with friends!
